SLAAR was formed to help abused, neglected and at risk animals. Our primary goal is to rescue animals, provide them with needed care and then find them safe, loving homes. SLAAR mission is to prevent suffering in any and all animals from cats and dogs to horses. We are a small rescue and hope that while small we can make a positive impact on the animals that come under our care.
Our Founder, Cindy Smith, has more than 50 yrs of experience in caring for animals and over a decade of experience in building a running a rescue. She has dedicated her life to caring for animals and especially animals in need.
